Bonnie St. John is not a woman to take adversity lying down.

Born in New York into an African-American family of modest means, she became an amputee at the age of five, and went on to become an Olympic silver medallist in skiing, a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, an award-winning sales rep, a White House official and a motivational coach.
