Paul Epworth has produced albums for Bloc Party and Maximo Park

After paying his dues at London's legendary Air Studios, The Strongroom and Chiswick Reach, Paul Epworth stepped forward as the in-house producer/engineer at the now defunct 93 Feet East Studios, where he honed his craft on his own debut album as main singer and songwriter in Lomax.

In between writing and recording he managed to establish himself as the hottest live sound engineer around, mixing the likes of The Kills, Royksopp, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Zonggamin, Liquid Liquid and The Futureheads, who later gave him his first big production job.

Dubbed as "Production Wunderkind" by the NME and voted Maxim's Man of the Year, Paul is a perfectionist with mad ideas, the innovation shows in his work.

Since producing the majority of tracks on The Futureheads debut, Paul has been in the studio with emerging talent such as The Rakes, White Rose Movement and Babyshambles, as well remixing the likes of U2 and Goldfrapp.

His most notable album projects are the jaw dropping Bloc Party debut and indie-pop saviours Maximo Park. In order to keep pushing things forward, 2006 sees Paul working with credible urban acts such as Plan B and Kano, and original dance rockers The Rapture. Paul will also continue to seek out new talent for his boutique imprint Good & Evil.

Paul's boundless enthusiasm, diverse musical talent and taste, and his skill for relaxing and inspiring bands make him a producer people continue to seek out.

Epworth's sound typically separates a band's elements, accentuates the bass and leaves the guitar to dart around like a house of flying daggers The Word summed it up by calling him 'The next Simon Lillywhite'.
