The Horrors and Trash Fashion have played at Underage Club
Sam's club, The Underage Club is defining the new teenager, and Sam is a very interesting character in the new scene.

Top British magazine, The Observer Music Monthly, has dedicated over two pages to this budding, music loving entrepreneur.

Sam seems to have been reared on the avant-garde.

He started Underage Club earlier this year on the hunch that other young fans of happening bands were frustrated by the tougher enforcement of licensing laws.

Pink Grease, The Horrors, Trash Fashion, Poppy and the Jezebels are just some of the great new bands playing to an audience of kids who want to go to gigs but aren't allowed into licensed music venues.

Strictly No Arctic Monkeys, it says in the online advertising, because they're too obvious, and instead the club DJs spin a wide selection of tunes ranging from Sixties garage rock and Nineties riot grrrl and grunge.

Sam says of his club, 'When you meet someone who was a punk in the late Seventies, it's something they'll tell you with pride, they were a part of history.'

'Now I'm not comparing this to punk, don't get me wrong. But I'm sure these guys are pretty proud to say they were a part of this.'
