Jacob had his professional debut with Danish act, Franka & The Iris Band
Jacob Quistgaard, a Danish-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, lives in London.

He began his performing career at the age of six when he joined The Royal Ballet of Denmark, with whom he performed and toured worldwide into his teens.

Jacob then moved to London to focus on performing music, having played the guitar from the age of seven.

After a stint as a jazz musician, which included a year of music studies in 1998 at GIT (where he earned the title of Outstanding Guitarist of the Year) and a First Degree BA from Royal Academy of Music via scholarship, he decided to focus on songwriting.

He had his professional recording debut in 2000 with Danish act, Franka & The Iris Band (Sony Music DK). This earned him blanket press coverage and a Danish Music Award.

He now primarily performs with his new band Triggerbox and as a solo artist under the name of Twig
