Florence Musibika was the victim of a genade attack by her husband
Statistically the family home is a more dangerous place than anywhere else for women and children, who bear the brunt of the burden of violence in the family. The attacks can be verbal, physical, sexual, psychological or financial. Whichever form they take it undermines the victims, making it hard for them to leave. And it can leave lasting psychological trauma.
In this programme Sheena McDonald hears the stories of victims of violence from rural Uganda to urban Britain and finds out at first hand what their experiences are.
