What is the genetic link to violence? Scientists disagree over the extent to which violence and genes can be linked, but some genetic abnormalities reveal a link to violent behaviour.

On the other hand, violent behaviour in children can be mediated by the right interventions, which would imply that environmental factors play a part.

On discovering the genes that alter the biochemistry of hostility, the hope is that it will lead to the development of drugs to control aggressiveness reliably.
