- This category aims to recognise on-air interactive programmes, which significantly involve listeners in their format and discuss topics and issues, that are of relevance and interest to their audience
- The interactive element of the programme can involve phone-ins, e-mails, text messages or debates with a live audience
- This is an award for the team who put the programme together, so will recognise all involved, from presenters to producers
Information Needed for Entry
- A sample of the programming must be submitted
- The station should provide at least three extracts from their interactive programme broadcast on or after 1 January, 2006
- These must not exceed a total of 30 minutes and no editing is permitted within each extract
- In addition to a completed entry form, the radio station must in no more than 250 words: summarise the types of topics they cover; explain why their coverage was of particular significance; highlight any difficulties needing to be overcome to produce their programme(s)
Prize
The winning radio station receives $2,500 of equipment of their choice, plus trophies for all members of the winning team
