Reporter Nigel Wrench travels to Malawi and South Africa to discover if the world has kept its promise to give three million of its poorest inhabitants access to the anti-retroviral drugs they need to give them quality of life.

He meets the man in charge of the ambitious programmes and asks him why the target won't be met.

And in South Africa Nigel discovers that some people are reluctant to take the life saving pills because of stigma attached.
