World Service Season
In its last report on the state of the global spread of Aids, the World Health Organisation reported that about 3 million people died of the disease in 2004 and another 40 million were living with it.
In this special season of programmes, BBC World Service examines how the Aids crisis is being tackled, uncovers attempts at preventing the disease and looks at the responsibilities of governments, drug companies, and international bodies such as the World Health Organisation.
