Ten years ago, Labour party leader Tony Blair was swept to power in Britain with a record-breaking majority, promising that "things can only get better."

Now, as he confirms he will shortly step down as prime minister, how has his time in 10 Downing Street changed the country he led for a decade?

Mr Blair pledged to tackle inequality, help allieviate poverty and reform public services. He also radically altered the make-up of the country, creating the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly and the mayor of London.
