FM
Many local radio stations in Africa broadcast BBC World Service on FM frequencies. This may be our 24-hour English service or a mix of English and other languages. Visit our Schedules page and enter the name of your city to find out if there are stations in your area.
Satellite
WorldSpace
The West beam of the digital WorldSpace AfriStar satellite carries our West Africa English stream on channel 904, with two half-hours of French (BBC Afrique) at 0600 &1800 GMT and BBC Hausa from 1930-2000 daily.
Visit the WorldSpace website for information about the special receivers and subscription necessary for reception.
MultiChoice
If your country is served by the MultiChoice network, you will be able to receive BBC World Service using a Multichoice receiver (contact your local agent for details). Some African cities also have local TV services which offer MultiChoice on a normal domestic TV aerial.
