Legendary rocker, Bob Dylan
Legendary rocker, Bob Dylan
As one of the most influential musicians of his time, Bob Dylan has also provoked much controversy during his long and very successful career.

His early fans idolised him for his folk music but were outraged when he then began playing an electric guitar.

That debate is likely to be reignited with the world premiere of a new film about Bob Dylan, The Other Side of the Mirror, which had its world premiere in London this week.

Featuring much previously unseen footage, it chronicles Dylan's musical transition through his performances at the Newport Folk Festival between 1963 and 1965.

World Update caught up with the film's director, Murray Lerner, firstly how did he first meet Dylan:

First broadcast 9th October.
