HIV/AIDS and Development: Programme 6

Around the world HIV/AIDS continues to devastate the lives of millions.

It has become one of the biggest barriers to development and is therefore a major concern for those involved in development management.

But in Uganda prevalence and incidence are in decline. Simon discovers there's some concern over the reliability of statistics that indicate the numbers living with HIV/AIDs and the number of new infections are in decline.

He also looks at the debate on the accessibility and affordability of drugs to treat HIV/AIDS in developing countries.
