Christians Killed in Turkey

Malatya
The attack in Malatya killed three.
A Christian pastor and two of his parishioners have been killed in Turkey in an attack on a religious publishing house.

Police in the south-eastern city of Malatya, found the victims with their hands and feet tied behind their backs and their throats cut.

Yes, we are doing missionary activities. We are sharing our faith. Turkey's supposed to be a secular country. We are free to share our faith just like Muslim people and other religious groups.

Pastor Isan.

One of the dead was a German citizen. A Turkish official said police had arrested four suspects at the scene. The publishing house distributed copies of the Bible and other Christian literature.

Pastor Isan is the leader of an Ankara based protestant church, and he knew the pastor who was killed today and has gone down to Malatya to see what's happened. Who carried out the attack?

First broadcast 18th April
