Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA , Ali Asgar Soltaneih

Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Asgar Soltaneih
Would Iran go back on key commitments made to the non-proliferation treaty?
The showdown with Iran over its nuclear programme is going up a gear. The key members of the board of IAEA, the five Permanent members of the UN Security Council, have already agreed that their emergency meeting should report Iran officially to the UN.

That is the start of a process which could lead, eventually, to sanctions. The latest draft of the IAEA report on Iran's nuclear activities refers to a document in Iran's possession which apparently relates to the construction of a nuclear weapon. It also says that, although Iran has not yet resumed uranium enrichment, it is preparing to do so.

The World Today's Fergus Nichol caught up with Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA , Ali Asgar Soltaneih in Vienna, and in a rare interview asked him whether Iran would go back on key commitments made to the non-proliferation treaty.
