Do you have stories to tell about the end of communism?

Statue of Lenin is taken down in Lithuania

Did you witness the fall of communism in Poland, Hungary, the former Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria or the Baltic states?

Was the radical change in ideology a good thing, or not?

For the 1989 season, the BBC World Service's news programme Europe Today is using the theme "the People's Revolution" as part of their coverage and would like to speak to people who experienced communism.

Please get in touch with the programme and let them know how you felt when the communism fell and how you feel now.

Are you disappointed that the values you learnt under socialism are now gone? Or did you hate communism and are glad its all over?
