Install the Widget on different platforms

Your website

Simply copy and paste the code below into the relevant part of your blog or website.

Facebook

1. Get the click World Service Widget application
2. Click "Allow access" to add it
3. You can add the widget to a tab on your profile page, and have the option to share articles with your Facebook friends, or post them to your Facebook activity feed

WordPress

click WordPress is a massively popular blogging and content management software. It has a system for adding click widgets to a sidebar. Most WordPress themes are widget-compatible.

To install:

1. Download the click World Service Widget plugin
2. Unzip the plugin
3. Upload the unzipped folder to your WordPress /wp-content/plugins folder
4. Go to your WordPress Manage Plugins panel and activate the plugin
5. Go to your WordPress Appearance > Widgets panel and add the widget to the sidebar of your choice
6. Click 'Edit' to change the widget language settings, if necessary

iGoogle

click iGoogle is a personalised home page where you can add different kinds of widgets and up-to-date information.

To install the World Service Widget:

1. click Click here to get the widget
2. Click "Add to Google"
3. To uninstall: Click "Delete this gadget" from the widget controls

Adobe AIR

click Adobe Air lets you install widgets to your computer desktop.

To install:

1. First, install click Adobe Air
2. Download the click World Service Widget for Air
3. Click "Install"

To uninstall:

• In Windows, delete the “BBC World Service Widget” program in "Programs and Features"
• On a Mac, drag the icon from your "Apps" folder to the Trash.
• On Linux, remove the widget from your “Add/Remove Programs” list

Mac Dashboard

You can add widgets to your click Mac dashboard (or consider the Adobe Air widget).

To install:

1. click Click here to get the widget
2. If using the Safari browser, you'll be prompted to install the widget
3. If using Firefox, save and unzip the .zip file, then double-click on the .wdgt file within

To uninstall:

1. In the Dashboard, click the '+' sign at the bottom left of the screen
2. Click "Manage Widgets"
3. Find "BBC World Service Widget" and click the '-' sign next to it

Netvibes

click Netvibes is a personalised home page, similar to iGoogle.

click Click here to install the World Service Widget

To uninstall, click the 'x' button in the corner of the widget.

Windows Vista Sidebar

If you're a Window Vista user, you can add widgets to the Sidebar (or consider the Adobe Air widget).

If you are using the Internet Explorer, you'll be asked if you want to install the widget.

If using a different browser, first save the widget to your computer, then double-click to open it.

Opera

Opera Widgets can be run on the desktop, on mobile phones and even TVs.

For the desktop version, you'll need to have the click Opera browser installed on your computer, although you
don't need to launch the browser to use the widget (we recommend Opera 10 or above).

1. Save the click widget to your computer
2. Double-click the saved widget to open it
