Fred Dove


    • Fred taught in Sudan before joining BBC World Service in 1989.
    • He has produced programmes such as Newshour and presented Europe Today
    • He joined Outlook in 1997.
    • Born in Hamburg, West Germany
    • Disabled and was formerly captain of the Disabled England cricket team


  • I'll always remember standing on the helicopter pad of one of the Twin Towers, New York, interviewing Roco Camaj, the window-cleaner, who cleaned the outside of the windows between floors 10 and 110. A gloriously crisp and sunny morning, in a fantastic location, talking to a humble, charming, lovely man. He was killed on 9/11.
