Bahrain state of emergency after protests against Saudi troops

The king of Bahrain has announced a state of emergency a day after troops from Saudi Arabia were invited in to help suppress anti-government protests.

The opposition said the foreign forces amounted to an occupation.

Bahrain's Sunni Muslim royal family asked for help to deal with the largely Shia demonstrators.

Mai Yamani is a political analyst.
