As unrest continues on the streets of Egypt, it seems the spark of inspiration for the protests came from Tunisia, where mass demonstrations ousted President Ben Ali two weeks ago.
The political upheaval has thrown into sharp relief some social tensions that might help to shape the country's future political landscape.
