Are children safer in Kabul than in London or New York?

Mr Sedwill has since clarified his remarks

Nato's senior civilian representative in Afghanistan, Mark Sedwill, has sparked controversy by saying that "children are probably safer in Kabul than they would be in London, or New York, or Glasgow, or many other cities".

To discuss the issues, Newshour's Claire Bolderson brought together Sally Copley from Save the Children UK, and from Kabul, Mohammad Yousef of Aschiana, an Afghan charity that works with street children.
