Is it acceptable to criticise your employer on Facebook?

Workers could get caught out if their employers are also their Facebook friends

If you do not enjoy your work, or you dislike your boss, do you have the right to say so on a public social networking site such as Facebook?

In the United States, a private ambulance service has fired a medical technician who made a number of disparaging remarks on Facebook about her supervisor.

The case is due to go to court; it is being claimed that in the US at least, employers are not legally entitled to fire workers if they complain about their working conditions.

The BBC's Robin Lustig brought together Jessi Tabalba, who works for a new media consultancy called Attic Media, and Michael Scutt, a lawyer who specialises in employment law at the law firm Dale Langley.
