The Daily Show's 'Rally to Restore Sanity'

Larry Wilmore

Larry Wilmore has been appearing on The Daily Show since 2006

With only days to go before Americans go to the polls in crucial mid-term elections, candidates are campaigning hard.

Polls indicate the Republicans stand a good chance of gaining the balance of power in the House of Representatives.

This might be the reason for President Obama's appearance on the left-leaning news satire programme, The Daily Show.

It comes ahead of Saturday's "Rally to Restore Sanity" being organised by the show's host, Jon Stewart.

The BBC's Paul Adams spoke to one of the show's stars, the self-styled "senior black correspondent" Larry Wilmore.
