Is gossiping in the office divisive and damaging to team morale?

A top hedge fund boss on Wall Street, Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates, has told his staff that they risk losing their jobs if they gossip in the office.

Rumour has it, it's a case of three strikes and you're out.

Ray Dalio wrote: "Never say anything about a person you wouldn't say to him directly. If you do you're a slimy weasel".
