The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has published photos of approved hairstyles in preparation for a conference on modesty and the veil

Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has published a catalogue of state-approved hairstyles for men.

Ponytails, mullets and elaborate spikes have all been deemed unacceptable, but side-partings and even Elvis quiffs are allowed.
