Storms in western France kill 47

The fiercest storms to hit France for more than a decade have left at least 47 people dead.

Hurricane-force winds whipped up tides on the west coast of the country.

Reports say sea walls have crumbled and entire houses have been submerged.

Susanne Mustacich is a correspondent for French news agency, AFP.

She gave World Update's Ian Brimacombe the latest on the number of dead and the damage caused.
