There has been interest in the preservation of human remains for millennia

Would you be prepared to spend money on preserving your body in ice in the hope that one day scientists would be able to revive you?

The concept of cryonics was developed in the 1970s, and so far around 1,200 people have signed up for it.

The BBC's Matt McGrath met Jim Yount of the American Cryonics Society, who says he is ready to spring into action when one of his patients is nearing death.
