Ferran Adria announces his restaurant el Bulli to close

Ferran Adria, the chef widely recognised as a master of his art, has announced he is going to close his restaurant el Bulli for two years.

The restaurant, which was crowned the world's best four years in a row, serves a constantly evolving menu which has included such delicacies as Margarita cactus, gorgonzola globe and something called "pond".

The BBC's Fuchsia Dunlop is a food writer who has eaten at el Bulli twice.
