There are reports from the Iranian city of Isfahan of clashes between security forces and supporters of one of the country's most influential dissident clerics, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Ali Montazeri, who died on Sunday.

According to the opposition website, Rahe-sabz, the security forces used batons, chains and stones to disperse the crowds. There has been no independent verification.
