
The United Nations mission in Afghanistan says six of its staff were killed and nine others wounded when gunmen stormed a guesthouse in the capital, Kabul.
At least three Afghans also died, including two members of the security forces.
The three attackers were killed in a fierce gunbattle. At least one explosion was heard, and the building was gutted by fire.
This driver, who doesn't want to be named, was driving past the guesthouse at the time.

The Taliban said the attack was the first step in its campaign to disrupt next week's presidential run-off election.
