Pakistan's military offensive in South Waziristan
Pakistan's army is engaged in a third day of heavy fighting against al-Qaeda and the Taliban in South Waziristan.
Tens of thousands of civilians have fled the region since the campaign started on Saturday.
The BBC's Orla Guerin has been talking to the Pakistani military spokesman, Major General Athar Abbas.
