The UK government has announced plans to get tough on prostitution - specifically against those buying sex.
The Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, is unveiling reforms today which would criminalise anyone paying for sex with a woman who is "controlled for another person's gain."
This will include not only women who have pimps, but also women who are trafficked. The outlined plans say ignorance will be no defence, and that those found guilty will receive a hefty fine and a criminal record.
