The new king of the isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan has been crowned in a lavish ceremony, which featured sombre ceremonial music.

Taking over as head of a what claims to be the world's newest democracy, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck was crowned by his father.
He had stepped aside as part of his plan to reform and modernize the nation.
Earlier this year Bhutan held its first democratic elections for a new parliament and prime minister.
Newshour's Julian Marshall spoke to the BBC's Charles Haviland, who watched the coronation in the capital Thimphu.
