The lawyer for a Sudanese TV cameraman who spent six years at the American detention centre in Guantanamo Bay has spoken out against his imprisonment.
Sami al-Haj was released yesterday with two other Sudanese nationals.
He was working for the Arabic broadcaster, Al-Jazeera, when he was picked up by the Pakistani army on the Afghan border in December 2001.
He ended up in Guantanamo Bay six months after that and had been there ever since.
Upon his return to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, Mr al-Haj gave an interview to Al Jazeera's Arabic service.
