The extent of the price hikes in food around the world have spurred some of the world's most influential minds to come up with solutions.

The former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, is leading a campaign to bring about what he calls a "Green Revolution" in Africa.

He has been telling the World Today's Madeleine Morris all about it.
