Alice Omondi and David Asante
Our teachers experience life in each other's schools
For the Teachers in Africa season on BBC Network Africa and BBC Focus on Africa have got two teachers from either side of the continent to swap jobs for a week to experience their profession in another country.

Mr David Asante usually teaches at Somanya Presbyterian Primary School which is located about an hour's drive from the capital Accra in the Eastern Region of Ghana but for this week he will be based at the Kerarapon Primary School in Ngong near Kenya's capital Nairobi and Mrs Alice Omondi has gone in the other direction.

Shortly before they went to their new schools, our two teachers met in Nairobi to talk about the exchange programme.



This radio season is part of a larger BBC World Service Trust and Open University (UK) initiative to improve teacher education on the continent.
