Amnesty accuses Israelis over Palestinian water

Amnesty International has accused Israel of denying Palestinians their right to access clean, safe water.

In a new report, Amnesty says Israel is pumping more than its fair share of water from an aquifer it controls in the occupied West Bank, and of denying Palestinians permits to dig wells.

Donatella Rovera is one of the report's authors.

Farmers are among the worst-affected by water shortages.

Fat-hi Khedirat, a Palestinian farmer in the town of Berdal in the Jordan Valley, explains how difficult it is to get access to water there.

The Israeli government has rejected the allegations.
