Sarbjit and Jatinder are Sikhs . This is one of the four great monotheistic religions. There are 18-20 million Sikhs in the world, most of whom live in the Punjab state in northwest India where the faith began. 500,000 Sikhs live in Britain. The men usually have a beard; they do not cut their hair and wear a turban. Marriage partners are often chosen by friends, family and members of the community rather than the couple themselves.
