Install the Widget on different platforms

Simply copy and paste the code below into the relevant part of your blog or website.

iGoogle

iGoogle is a personalised home page where you can add different kinds of widgets and up-to-date information.

To install the World Service Widget:

  1. Click here to get the widget
  2. Click "Add to Google"

To uninstall:

  • Click "Delete this gadget" from the widget controls.

Mac Dashboard

You can add widgets to your click Mac dashboard (or consider the Adobe Air widget).

To install:

  1. Click here to get the widget
  2. If using the Safari browser, you'll be prompted to install the widget.
  3. If using Firefox, save and unzip the .zip file, then double-click on the .wdgt file within.

To uninstall:

  1. In the Dashboard, click the '+' sign at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click "Manage Widgets".
  3. Find "BBC World Service Widget" and click the '-' sign next to it.

Netvibes

Netvibes is a personalised home page, similar to iGoogle.

Click here to install the World Service Widget

To uninstall, click the 'x' button in the corner of the widget.

Windows Vista Sidebar

If you're a Window Vista user, you can add widgets to the Sidebar (or consider the Adobe Air widget).

Click here to get the widget

If you are using the Internet Explorer, you'll be asked if you want to install the widget

If using a different browser, first save the widget to your computer, then double-click to open it.
