- Fancy a pint?

Buckingham Palace - the official home of the British monarch in London

Our features for February were:

Fancy a pint?
A trip to the pub is a very British experience. London has thousands of pubs and in this programme we look at some of the language of pubs and pub-going and also hear from an expert on what makes visiting a pub so special.

Princess Beatrice
In this edition we travel back in time to hear about the life of Princess Beatrice, the youngest of Queen Victoria's nine children. Matthew Dennison is the author of the first biography of Princess Beatrice and he tells us about her fascinating life - from being her mother's favourite and then breaking free to marry Prince Henry of Battenberg, to her work on her mother's private papers.

Mayor Ken Livingstone
We find out about one particular life in London and that's the daily life of Ken Livingstone, the city's mayor. What's it like being in charge of one of the biggest cities in the world? Does he enjoy it? And what exactly does he do every day?

Kylie's costumes
We visit a big exhibition recently opened in London's Victoria and Albert Museum. It's entirely dedicated to Kylie Minogue, the Australian pop singer and international icon.
