Agreements with auxiliaries
In conversations, we can make short agreements by using auxiliary verbs. In this edition of Grammar Challenge, we invite Onur to a party and ask him to make small talk - to talk about unimportant things.

Using an auxiliary to agree is an easy way to keep a conversation going.

Positive and Negative:

Statement		Signal agreement	Pronoun	Auxiliary
Oxford Street gets so busy these days.		Yes	it	does.
All the shops are selling the same stuff!		That's true Joyce,	they	are.
I can't afford to spend all this money.		No Joyce,	you	can't.
We haven't got much time...		You're right,	we	haven't.
