The memory still lingers in my mind when I first start as a blogger of bbclearningenglish more specifically with the flatmates. I was able to know the members as the episodes went on. And the most memorable for me is the question how do I prepare myself if I go out, apart from that is the question what do I prepare to hide talents or voice it out like a trumpet. And through the flatmates I was able to express my inner self through sending comments in every episode. It was quite uneasy for me, but it was challenging paticularly on my grammar and how to compose sentences. And the most important part is I had fun doing it and I am looking forward to do it everyday to the best of my knowledge in speaking english in work. Oh my... It's kind of bitter to think that I can't feel again characters in the flatmates full of life and wit and that I can't interact with them, which has been indirect though. To recollect times I've spent with the flatmates, I've picked up lots of background knowledge on English and the cultural features melted in their lifes. I think it's really contributed a lot to improving my English ability so that I've easily been in preparaion for getting matured as an international person. When I started, I wasn't really interested and was about to give up.However,I was held back because of the fun in "The Flatmates". I wonder why the episode stopped surprisingly. The episode helps my children and friends a great deal in learning English especially in speaking skill. After reading so many sad and thankfull messages I'd like to add my comment too. I assume that you have a good reason to finish the program as I got addicted to the Tuesday's appointment with the Flatmates as many. I still remeber getting prepared to listen, then pressing the listen button of a new episode and feel the challenge of understanding the flatmates. Sometimes I could understand everything and sometimes I totally misunderstood part of the dialogues. what a frustration! However sending you comments about personal related experiences it's my favourite memory of the program. In this way I have build up a number of little episodes about my life in english which I guess can be very usefull and at hand when I will be engaged in a conversation with a native-speaker. I love every Flatmates episode. It's very sad and I think it's a insensible mistake to cut it without a end. Perhaps you thought that people has no emotion with stories like that. Everything has its end, the Flatmates too. I've no favourite memories because in my opinion the Flatmates success was to plunge the listener into a new situation in every episode and we had to cope with, as in the real life. Consequently I rarely understood the very first line, e.g. surprising Tim's accent, new context, new subject, so, among all the BBC LE's themes that I quite easily understood the Flatmates dialogues were the ones I had to listen to several times. These forced me to think about the whole story, understand actor's mood, use language points in my comments being sure that I have well understood the situation and perhaps a little bit more! True or false, never mind! essential is to try it and I will find out my misunderstanding in the next episode or later. As far as I'm concerned I think it was profitable, although I've been sometimes deeply frustrated discovering my weakness, but no pain no gain! I would say "And now for something completely different" like the catchphrase in TV series Monty Python's Flying circus. I am looking forward to the BBC LE's great imagination. Thanks to all the Flatmates team.

Hi,I think the flatmates were one of the best things of the BBC site. I'm very sad with the end of this series.I loved the history and the tools for help us learning english, like the audio,vocabulary and so on,so many good things. The characters are the best, especially Helen,my favorite, she's very similar to me in many aspects (smiles). Well, I was very curious to see what would happen with Alice and Paul, Tim and Sally,but I think the flatmates will come back some day, and I'm enjoying them on you tube channel!!!Please BBC tell us the reason for the end of this series and consider our ask for the return of it.
