Get Things Ready For The New Year.
I hope youīve enjoyed your Christmas Holiday. I spent last week in bed recovering from a bad cold but thank God now Iīm feeling pretty well!
So, as the new year is just on the corner, I reckon itīs high time to tidy up all the things in the house that I have been procrastinating since the beginning of this year. I decided to get started to the most critical part in the house: the living room, where my DVD collection is in a quite (dis) order. Although my film collection isnīt that large, 120 titles, I didnīt have much time to keep them all catalogue as I was acquiring new titles during the year, but the important thing is I could manage to tidy up the living room and my film collection too. Oooh Iīm so proud of me :-).
I took a couple of pictures to show you how is my film collection after the tidy up operation.
I was thinking about buying some shelves in order to organise the films better and in this way itīll be easier to find a title I want to see. What do you think?
Most of the films in my collection are classics in black and white. The oldest film in my collection is a French adaptation directed by Jean Renoir of Gustave Flaubert novel Madame Bovary. The film was made in 1933 and it has wonderful outdoors scenes, which was something quite rare to be seen in films made by that time. However, itīs not only of classics that my film collection is made. I have the eight seasons of the sitcom Will & Grace, which have also helped me to brush up my vocabulary.
Well, friends, Iīd like to wish you all a wonderful new year. May all your dreams come true for 2010. Apart from that, Iīd like to thank you once more the BBC LE staff for this opportunity to be here in the open blogs. Being a student blogger was one of the best things that happen in my English learning process.
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
