Shirley Posts: Your Friends Resemble You
I am currently preparing a bridal shower for my best friend. As I was inviting some friends on facebook, looking at their pictures, I was thinking how my friends have similar look and similar background somehow. High school was the place where I found most of my lifetime best friends, and we have been through a lot together. We know goofiness of one another, and we grow together (and as we bloom, one by one are getting married). Tie a knot with men of their choice; either out of love or out of time :) Well, the point is I can see what my friends and I have in common.
Then I started to look at my list of dear friends, and I see that there is a pattern somehow. Whenever I visit a mall and see a group of friends walking and hanging out together, I can see their resemblance, too. One group consists of lean girls with stylish attires and polished nails, second group consists of geek guys with average looks and strange laughs, third group consists of big eaters who would spend hours to eat from one place to another, and so on. They are not only similar in term of likeness, but also physical appearances. Have you ever noticed that? It's like high school once again *lols*.
I love my friends. I wouldn't trade them for diamonds. I completely agree with those who said that friendship is like wine. It is. And somehow I can see a part of me in my friends. So, if you want to know how others see you, take a look of your best friend and you might get a glimpse of clue.
PS. Thanks for all of your comments from my previous posts. Blue from China, you are correct! I am a Chinese woman who was born in Indonesia. If you come and visit, you will find many Chinese people like me who cannot speak Mandarin fluently (if not at all) anymore here. Sad, but understandable.
