Give me liberty or give me death
………………………………… I have been to jail many times ……………………..
On my way to office this noon, the thermometer of my car read it was 15° C (° 59F) outside. It was colder than 24° C (° 75F) December 1st. In a cold winter day, the best idea is to enjoy a hot spring.
I took turns to Ilan County jail in the afternoon, the prosecutor in Taiwan has to go to the jail for a inspect visit regularly.
I learn a saying long time ago:” Give me liberty, or give me death.” Reportedly, it was from a speech by Mr. Patrick Henry, it is a simple and strong, and a notable word to pursue the freedom. Everybody can say it loudly, and suddenly, a thought came to my mind while I was being the jail this afternoon, that was:” Does a prison could say GIVE ME LIBERTY, OR GIVE ME DEATH in the jail? Does it make sense?” I have no idea of it. And why I had such kind of thought, I don’t know either; maybe, it is because I read and wrote a load of English stuff this month, no matter where I go, English will attach onto my body.
I visited a factory of the jail; they showed me a number of handiworks which were made by the female prisoner. I of course took a shoot and post it as below. The cute figures are for sale, and the prisoner who made them could get the pay.
