Sunday, street sight in the evening, in Ilan city.
Today is Sunday; most people are taking a rest or having a fun outside. While the mantle of night is falling down, the stores on the street will close their door to have a break in the western nation area. However, in Taiwan, the store’s open time is always from 10:00 am to 22:00 pm. People could go shopping at a mall, a department, and buy much stuff in the stores in the evening till 22:00 pm. I took a photo of a night view of Ilan City Street at around December 7 2008 18:00 pm. You can see many stores were still opening, neon lights were shining everywhere. There are a pharmacy, a cell phone (mobile) store, a jewelry store, a commodity store, an electric appliance store, many foodstuffs (food products) store, and many many other kinds of stores. Those stores are often at the first floor, the owners live in the second and/or third floors. The cities in Taiwan don’t segment the house area and the business area, it means people live in the business area, and the stores are set in the house area. The situation are both convenient and inconvenient.
Incidentally, there is a night market opened till midnight (24:00) seven days a week. People can buy many food (fried chicken, etc.) and stuff over there. Click here to get more information.

May you buy stuff conveniently in the evening.
