The Art Of Recycling
Hello my friends!
Thanks for all your lovely comments on my blog. It´s really fantastic to catch up with you all again.
Sometimes we don´t even imagine that some people can make art with things we just want to throw away. The NGO "Filhos da Terra" ( Chlidren of Earth) from Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro has the aim to arouse ecological conscience and social responsibility among teenagers through the art. Last month I could see their work in a cultural center here in São Paulo. Recycled paper, onion peels and other materials non-industrialised were used to create delicate paintings framed in bamboo. Here are some pictures:
They are adorable, aren´t they? Looking at these kind of art makes me smile :-).
Now let me chat a bit with you all.
Hey Simon! I´m curious to know whether you watched City of Men.
Ricardo, are you from Brazil?
Hey Bïa! How is the bookclub project going?
Filippo, I´m not going to quit my job. Actually, I have to work to pay my studies, so I´ll still have to work 7:00am till 5:00pm and then attend the classes in the evenings ( 6:30pm).
Hi Ernesto! You´re right. I know it´s just the beginning of a long journey...
Leila, it´s always wonderful to hear your stories. I love your pictures.
Ooh Marianna, we have to find time in order to achieve our goals. Otherwise we feel stuck in time.
Thanks Renata! I´ll really need a bit of luck :-).
Hi Hyoshil! How are you and your lovely son doing? Well, I´m going to study here in my city because it´ll be easier to keep helping my mum. Thanks for your advice.
Cris, I´m looking forward to reading about your trip to Medonza.
Anita congrats! I was very excited when I read you won the contest :-).
