March 2008

BBC Learning English Blogs win a British Council ELTon.

The ELTons are the British Council's annual award for innovation in English language teaching.

ELT producer William Kremer collected the blogs' award on behalf of Paul Scott and Carrie Dunton, who look after this very successful part of William said the award belonged to the students and teachers who wrote the blogs every day, and the thousands of learners who leave comments on their entries. 'They make BBC Learning English a very special place to work' he said.

This is what one judge said about the blogs:

It is certainly effective and practical. The entry is wonderful in every way. The best innovation is always simple and leaves us wondering why we didn't think of it.

On the same evening The Flatmates also won! Read about their success here >>
