Paul Scott

Being cool

What do you do?
I am the Editor which means that I am responsible for the overall direction of the radio and website production and management of the team.

Ooh. Where were you born?
I was born in Germany.

What other languages can you speak?
Spanish (basic) and still learning after at least 6 attempts. I used to speak German and picked it up fairly easily when I last tried to learn.

What's your favourite website (other than Learning English)?
Google* This is an obvious site to choose but it is the site I use most regularly. It's a favourite site because it is very useful rather than entertaining. I don't generally surf the web for fun, I only use it to find information or to practise my Spanish.

What's your earliest memory?
Climbing up the slippery part of a slide, falling down and bashing my head on the edge of it- now, at least, I've forgotten the exact number of stitches required to close the wound.

What's your favourite turn of phrase?
'Modern Life is rubbish'.

Have you a tip for language learners?
Read, write and speak the language as often as possible.
