Ros Atkins

Grew up in Cornwall, England.
Has also lived in Nassau, Port of Spain and Johannesburg.
Ran a DJ night in Brixton, London, playing Caribbean and African dance music.
Worked for British Airways in-flight radio.
Started at the BBC as a producer in 2001.
Has hosted editions of WHYS in numerous countries, including India, America, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya Europe and the UK.

Sitting in front of a microphone in a World Service studio is a huge honour. But I'm acutely aware of the justifiably high expectations of listeners and colleagues and always hope that when the red light goes on I can get somewhere near to meeting them.
