Ros Atkins
- Grew up in Cornwall, England
- Has also lived in Nassau, Port of Spain and Johannesburg
- Ran a DJ night in Brixton, London, playing Caribbean and African dance music
- Worked for British Airways in-flight radio
- Started at the BBC as a producer in 2001
- Has hosted editions of World Have Your Say in numerous countries, including India, America, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, the UK and across Europe
Sitting in front of a microphone in a World Service studio is a huge honour. But I'm acutely aware of the justifiably high expectations of listeners and colleagues and always hope that when the red light goes on I can get somewhere near to meeting them.
